Hello, I'm Martin Berger.
A Technical Architect passionate about Oracle Database, Monitoring, Cloud and Smart Home.

Technical Stack

Oracle Database Systems

From single instances to Data Guard and RAC. Engineered Systems like PCA and ZFS. Exploring the features is is my passion. Wherever it runs.

Monitoring

Ramping up monitoring solutions with Oracle Enterprise Manager 24ai, or OpenSource with Grafana, Prometheus, InfluxDB.

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure OCI

Exploring not the only-one cloud, but the one with the most experience. Migrating and other topics.

Oracle ACE Professional

Sharing my know-how, extending my network and being part of the community is my passion.

My Home is Smart

Doing sensor stuff with LoraWAN and TTN/MQTT, configuring HomeAssistant and trying to optimize our power usage.

“Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.”

Since 2007 I have been working for Trivadis AG – now Accenture – in the area of Oracle databases and middleware products. I have a degree in Computer Science Engineering, am an Oracle Database Cloud Certified Administrator and have completed Module 1 as an adult educator (AWeb) at the University of Applied Sciences Northwestern Switzerland in Basel. I work for Accenture as a Technical Architect for our customers and teach courses on topics such as Oracle Cloud Infrastructure OCI and owning the most common OCI Professional Certifications.

I live with my family in Switzerland in a small village at the southern foot of the Jura, centrally located in relation to the centers of Berne, Basel and Zurich. When I’m not roaming around on Oracle products to discover new features, I enjoy my free time with my family, out in nature or in some animal park. Or on duty or in training with the fire department.
